About
I'm a backend engineer with nine years of experience across fintech and infrastructure. These days I care most about the unglamorous parts of distributed systems: idempotency, backpressure, and the exact semantics of a timeout.
Before moving to industry I did graduate work on consensus protocols at NTU, where I learned that most "impossible" results are really just precise definitions. I still try to bring that attitude to production incidents.
Outside of work I help organize the Taipei Systems Reading Group, and I'm slowly restoring a 1983 Mendini bicycle.

taipei-transit-gifs
Every Taipei Metro line, animated frame by frame from open GTFS data. Started as a weekend joke, now used by three transit blogs I know of.
